  • The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Virginia Commonwealth University had a successful 2009-2010 academic year. In February, the council was recognized for a second consecutive year as the best NPHC nationwide at the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Central Conference in St. Louis, MO.

During the spring semester, the council  worked on several community projects, including new service opportunities beyond the on-going service project of street clean-ups. Some of the new service projects included volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club, Upward Bound, and Relay for Life. Additionally, the council held a town hall meeting at the end of the semester to address community issues and improve relations between chapters.

The final highlight for the spring semester was the return of the Eta Theta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. which marks the return of all nine NPHC organizations to the campus.

The upcoming year will prove to be exciting as the council will take part in the 25th Anniversary of the Fall Block Step Show at VCU.
